Ordering your repeat prescriptions
Repeat medication is medication that you are required to take continually. A clinician will advise you in your consultation if your medication is on ‘Repeat’.
You can request your repeat prescriptions via:
- Patient Online services or an e-mail request.
- A prescription request form which is available at your reception.
- Ticking the repeat tear-off strip from the prescription sheet and post it in the box or hand it in at reception.
- Your nominated pharmacy can request on your behalf.
Prescriptions will be ready for collection after 2 working days.
You can arrange for a local pharmacy to order, collect, dispense and deliver your prescriptions.
Speak to your local pharmacy for details.
Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)
EPS allows your GP to send an Electronic Prescription through a secure link to your nominated pharmacy. For more information on EPS speak to a receptionist or visit: www.systems.hscic.gov.uk/eps
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to book in with a doctor, advanced practitioner or practice pharmacist at least once a year to review any regular medications. Please ensure that you book in with us at your earliest convenience to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
